About Emergency Contraception

Emergency contraception is a way to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraception failure. It's most effective if taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse, and can be taken up to 72 hours (3 days) after sex, though some methods work up to 5 days after.
